Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)

District 9400, Magoebaskloof, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards

2010 marked the year of the amalgamation of District 9250 and 9300 into a new District 9400. The Magoebaskloof RYLA committee is committed to deliver quality RYLA programs to cater for various age groups within the new District. The RYLA program is certainly one of the most exciting Rotary programs for any club to be involved in. The RYLA program gives clubs the opportunity to directly influence and develop the youth. Sponsoring young leaders of the community to take part in this new advanced RYLA program is an opportunity to introduce Rotary to prospective new members. We urge you to support the District Magoebaskloof RYLA programs.

The D9400 Magoebaskloof RYLA committee will arrange a bus to collect RYLA participants in Pretoria. There will be an additional cost of R450pp to be paid upfront if you choose to make use of this service. Participants who have not paid will not be allowed to get onto the bus, as they will not be booked for. The bus waits for nobody and will leave Doornkloof Mall on the Thursday at 11am sharp. Participants will be dropped off on the Sunday at 5pm at the Doornkloof Mall again. If you wish to make use of this please contact Rowena:

RYLA in Magoebaskloof

This RYLA Camp in Magoebaskloof is an official sanctioned D9400 RYLA and takes place at the District RYLA Basecamp in Magoebaskloof. It has been designed to create a structured environment with a balanced mix between outdoor activities and indoor presentations. Topics are tailored to age groups in attendance, but all programs emphasize leadership skills, personal development, emotional development and citizenship. The focus is on experiential learning where participants have the opportunity to break away from the normal classroom environment and learn through various physical and outdoor games and processes.

It is important for the RYLA committee to develop an accurate contacts database of each club’s youth officers. Please assist us by sending us your Club Officers’ contact details that is directly responsible for the youth programs and activities in your club. You can send all contact details to
